In 1984, EI Microcircuits was established. Our objective was to discuss surface mount technology, or SMT, a little-known technology that served as the basis for today's electronics downsizing.
Being an early SMT adopter, there were not many guidelines or production know-how accessible at the time. As one of the first EMS contractors to own and operate robotic SMT placement equipment, we also were early innovators in the design of SMT pads and stencils.
With three manufacturing facilities currently equipped with conformal coating lines, solder robots, and automated placement lines, EI Microcircuits is a high mix, low-to-mid volume, technologically advanced EMS supplier. Value-added services including box construction, potting, storage & logistics, testing, and much more are also provided by EI Microcircuits.
