Blue Ridge Industries started off as an assembler and specialty injection molder of plastic parts in 1985. With presses weighing between 100 and 950 tons, BRI improved and grew its injection molding capabilities throughout time. To better serve our clients, we have expanded our offerings beyond molding. Rapid prototyping, a wide range of assembly options, and end-user fulfillment are all provided by BRI.

Our facilities grew along with the company. In 1989, we relocated to the present location. The 25,000 sq. The facility's size was increased to 75,000 sq. ft. in 1994. BRI now has almost 100,000 square feet. warehousing and manufacturing space of feet.

We got our start in 1949 as Plastic Products Corporation, a little business that produced hearing aid cables.

We changed course in 1987, changed our name to Plastics One Inc., and relocated to the Southwest County of Roanoke, Virginia, where we are now. We directly collaborate with OEMs worldwide to produce injection-molded goods and connecting cables used in the medical sector. Our target market hasn't changed, but our additive manufacturing focus has grown and allowed us to continue to develop our customer base. All departments are housed in this large facility under one roof, including R&D, Engineering, Toolroom, Production, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Accounting, and Marketing, who collaborate to provide the best service possible to our clients.

He stayed with the same employer after graduating in 1953 for another two years before accepting a job teaching clients how to run tool-making machines in Brazil in 1955. Henry was keen to travel the world and accepted the assignment. After spending two years in Brazil, Henry moved to the United States and began working as a service engineer for the country's largest importer, installing and instructing at businesses for 20 years, including NASA.

Henry founded the Beck Machinery Inc. in 1968 in Skaneateles, New York, and supplied Swiss-made automatic screw machines to renowned business Welch Allyn. Welch Allyn urged Henry to launch an injection molding business based on their mutual confidence and trust.

Modern Alpha Plastics, Inc. is a custom injection molding company with manufacturing facilities and offices located at 7200 NE Birmingham Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64161.  The current company was established in 1996 by merging two independent companies, Modern Plastics Molding, Inc. from Independence, Missouri (purchased in 1989) and Alpha Plastics, Inc. from Kansas City, Missouri (purchased in 1991).  At the time of their merger, these two independent companies had been in continuous business operation for 31 and 27 years respectively with combined annual sales of approximately $7 million and had been responsible for providing outstanding custom injection molding. Our company continues to provide this level of excellence and is recognized in its markets for high quality standards and its ability to manufacture and assemble the difficult dimensional plastic parts that are required to meet our customer's specifications.

W-L Molding of Michigan, LLC (formerly known as W-L Molding) was founded in 1945, and subsequently purchased by our current ownership in 2013. We are privately held, and nationally certified as a minority supplier by the Michigan Supplier Development Council.

Following World War II, Rowland Rider learned of a new substance called "plastic" and knew of a man who intended to use it to create bathroom tiles. A tiny injection molding machine was purchased by Rowland and Romania Rider, along with their sons Max and Burt Rider, by taking out a mortgage on their houses. In Salt Lake City, a building at the intersection of West Temple and 21st South was home to the Rider Engineering and Plastic Company. Many of these new tiles were quickly installed in residences in the Rose Park, Glendale, and Sugar House neighborhoods by JB Tile. When plastic became widely available, more people were learning about it, which led to the founding of Rider Engineering and Plastic Company. Rider Engineering and Plastics grew as a result of their increased customer base.
