Founded in 1970 in Norwich, Connecticut, by Edward Planeta, Sr., Acme Wire Products began with a specialized focus on custom formed and welded wire components. To accommodate rapid growth and evolving client needs, the company expanded in 1979 to an expansive 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mystic, Connecticut. Today, as a proud second-generation family business, Acme Wire Products is led by the sibling executive team of Mary, Michael, and Ed Planeta. Managing operations since 2000, they combine over a century of collective wire fabrication industry expertise. We remain dedicated to manufacturing sturdy, close-tolerance steel and stainless steel components, engineered with strict dimensional consistency to meet each customer’s unique requirements.
