Under the name Action Plastic & Rubber Co., Tekni-Plex Europe NV began operating in Belgium in 1968. The business moved to its current location at the Industrielaan in Erembodegem (Aalst) and changed its name to Action Technology Belgium NV in the late 1970s.

Action Technology Belgium NV purchased Gommaform, an Italian rubber manufacturing business, in 1982. The current name of this business is Action Technology Italia SpA.

The US parent firm was purchased by Wayne, New Jersey-based Tekni-Plex Inc in 1998. The company's name in Belgium was then changed to Tekni-Plex Europe NV, and it now has several divisions, including:
