A family firm called Almeida Lima e Filhos was founded in 2002 as a result of the partners Manuel Almeida and Maria Lurdes Lima's commitment to the metal-pulling industry since 1978. The company was established as a result of their children carrying on their profession.

For the lighting industry, hotels, food, décor, furniture, building, bath items, ventilation, viniculture, beekeeping, machinery, kitchenware, and other uses, Almeida Lima e Filhos manufactures and trades metallic items.

Its primary area of expertise is pulling brass, copper, aluminum, iron, and stainless steel. It has a number of manual and automatic CNC pulling lathes in addition to a number of mechanical balances for cutting, drilling, and stamping. It also has a guillotine and bending machine and vertical and horizontal milling for these materials.
