Privately owned Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators is proud of its history, staff, community, products, and clients. With a strong 75-person U.S. workforce, the St. Paul, Minnesota-based business has prospered by supplying metal components to American companies.

With old machinery and 450 square feet of shop space, Donald K. Bauer founded his business in 1946 and began producing home heating oil tanks. His tenacity, self-control, and integrity were the keys to the business' success. Gary and Doug, two of Donald's sons, joined the company after finishing college and US military service. When Doug took over the company's management in 1996, he advanced his father's basic beliefs and expanded it according to his vision.
