Three generations of the Posner family have made the Posner name well-known in the metal industry. It all began in the 1960s when Fred Posner built a scrap yard and began selling used steel that would later be melted down and sold as scrap metal. Realizing that some extremely useful pieces of metal could be sold again instead of being melted down didn't take long. We began sorting and selling the reusable parts in 1982. This choice resulted in the creation of two distinct companies: Beach Road Steel, a supermarket for metal products, and Posner Metals, a scrap yard.
