Robert Burridge Toolmaker was founded by Bob Burridge in 1959. Leichardt was where Robert Burridge Toolmaker was situated. As the company expanded, more industrial space was required; as a result, Bob first relocated the company to Smithfield and then, in 1973, to 6 Coombes Drive in Penrith.
Boval Engineering, which specialized in sheetmetal manufacture and fabrication, was founded in 1983 by Bob Burridge and his wife, Val Burridge.
In 1986, Bob and Val sold Boval Engineering to the company's current owner, Peter McGovern, and they retired.
Boval Engineering relocated to larger space at 13 Coombes Drive in Penrith as a result of growing business and market demand.
Despite the fact that Bob has been retired for a while, he continues to be actively interested in Boval Engineering and the sheetmetal sector.
