Since its founding in 1971, Brownlie Design has grown to be a prominent player in the industrial design industry. Founder Alan Brownlie began a career as an industrial designer and inventor that lasted more than 30 years thanks to early clients such industry titans Welch Allyn, the Raymond Corporation, and General Electric. Hundreds of happy customers, multiple patents, multiple national design prizes, and numerous products that have gained international recognition are all outcomes of Alan's vision. Scott Ryan was named President of Corporate Operations in 1997 and took over ownership in 2001 to guarantee that the company's collaborative talent and vision will continue beyond Alan's retirement.
