A contract manufacturer and precision machining company, Caldwell Corporation focuses on fabrication and welding of steel, stainless steel, aluminium, plastic, and other materials as well as short- and medium-run CNC milling and turning of close-tolerance components.

Joseph L. Caldwell and his son Tom Caldwell established Caldwell Machining in Emporium, Pennsylvania, in 1987. Joseph and Tom began by renting a modest location and operating with just one CNC mill. Later, in 1988, they moved to Sykesville, Pennsylvania, to develop their business. Caldwell Machining would continue to support regional businesses for another three years while expanding their staff. When North American Philips in Emporium, Pennsylvania, decided to close their business in 1991, Joseph successfully negotiated the purchase of the property.
