Cistelaier was created as a result of the 1998 merger of two Italian printed circuit board manufacturers, Cistel of Genoa and Laier of Modena, which were established in 1976 and 1986, respectively.
With the acquisition of French printed circuit board manufacturer Techci Rhône-Alpes SA in 2011, Cistelaier was merged into the Finmasi Group's PCB division, which now includes Cistelaier, Techci, and EPN Electroprint GmbH.
Cistelaier wants to assist the client from the start of the project by improving the printed circuit board through "Design for Manufacturing" (DFM) analysis, to maximize usability and cut costs for the product.
