CME Wire and Cable, Inc. was established in the United States in 1994 as a subsidiary of Viakable, with the mission of serving customers across the U.S. and Canada. Through its three operating divisions and five strategically located distribution centers, CME supports a wide range of markets, including residential, commercial, institutional, utilities, industrial, and OEM sectors. Within its Energy Division, the company serves a focused customer base that includes cooperatives, municipalities, investor-owned utilities, transmission companies, EPC firms, and industrial organizations. To further strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and complement Viakable’s global operations, CME expanded its footprint in 2018 with the addition of VKM Manufacturing LLC, located in La Salle, Illinois.
