Houston, Texas-based Specialty Corporation was founded in 1957 as a distributor of high-quality hose products. In order to address the expanding demands of the sector, Specialty Company purchased Copper State Rubber, which was based in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1980. Hose producer Copper State Rubber partnered with Specialty Company to expand production capacity with the acquisition of new spiral wire machines and the modernization of current machinery. The first American company to market the 3" ID Super Choke and Kill hose, which runs at 15,000 psi with a test pressure of 22,500 psi, was Copper State Rubber.
