In 1993, Scott and Michelle Arendt opened CMW (a modest machine and fabrication firm) within a stable. They made a 2,000 square foot metal structure investment and acquired their first CNC machine in 1998. They relocated to a 10,000 square foot structure in a Fenton, Missouri industrial park in 2001. After successfully separating the machine and fabrication operations (placing the fabrication shop in a separate building of 10,000 square feet next to the machine shop), CMW started to grow significantly, and in 2014 both the machine and fabrication shops moved to a 45,000 square foot building.

The machine shop is currently open five days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Scott and Michelle have operated their company and always held to the philosophy
