In 1965, James Dougherty founded D&S Manufacturing after buying a nearby welding and repair business.

Under the direction of Michael Dougherty, who left the firm in 2021 when we were 100% employee-owned, we kept expanding.  D&S presently employs 135 owners across 3 shifts and 150,000 square feet of operating area.

Original equipment producers of construction, agricultural, and railroad equipment, commercial air conditioning systems, military vehicles, wastewater treatment equipment, and more, rely on us for custom metal fabrications.

High resolution plasma, oxy-fuel, and laser cutting, rolling, forming, CNC machining, milling, manual welding, and robotic welding are just a few of the many services we offer. Shot blasting, wet spray painting, powder coating, and assembly are among the secondary services offered in-house.
