The founding founders, Alice and Jerome Dickmann, a husband and woman partnership, formed the family-run Dickmann Manufacturing Company (DMC) in 1957. Three full-time staff, a few punch presses, a mill, and a press brake machine were all that DMC had when it first began. The Firm expanded significantly in terms of capabilities, equipment, size, and success throughout the years.

Dave and Mitch Schneider, a father and son team, currently own and run DMC. In the center of Grafton, Wisconsin, the Firm occupies over 70,000 square feet of production space and employs over 50 full-time non-union workers.
