James Anderson founded it in 1977 in the garage and basement of his East Falmouth, Massachusetts, house. It was incorporated in May 1979 and relocated to bigger premises in Cataumet, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. Richard Sullivan bought the business in 1987, reorganized it, and by 1989, it had merged with N.E.D. Cable, a distributor and manufacturer of computer cables. At that point, Electro-Prep relocated to its current location in Wareham, Massachusetts, a bigger and newer facility.The current owner and president, Skip Sullivan, purchased it in January 1998. In July 2004, the business underwent further expansion when it acquired an adjacent property.The Electro-Prep team currently has forty members and is still expanding. Among the many industries we collaborate with are those that produce electronic instruments.
