Although the name Eifeler Metall- und Zinkwerke Manderfeld (abbreviated: EMZ) has only been firmly established on the East Belgian company map for five years, the metal processing location in the industrial zone Merlscheid/Manderfeld has a long history.

The Lanzerath-based Haas family, represented on-site at EMZ by the siblings Ingrid, Thomas, Norbert, and Josef, took over the commercial management of the galvanising plant and grating manufacturing in September 2013 after 50 years of operation under the name Staco AG.
