Established in 1987, Fortran Cirkit Electronics has carved a niche for itself in the manufacture of specialized multi layered printed circuit boards (MLBs). Our MLBs have been part of prestigious projects like ISRO’s INSAT 2 and 3 Series and several of Bharat Electronics Ltd’s cutting edge projects. We currently have 43 employees with a combined experience of over 500 Man Years in the various electrochemical, thermal and Computer Numeric Control processes that go into the making of an MLB. Our record in MLB manufacturing is 22 Layers and we regularly fabricate intricate 18 layer and 20 layer boards. Sophisticated 16 and 18 layered boards with both blind via and buried via have been manufactured for elite defence projects. Teflon boards, Multilayered Polyamides, Metal Core boards with Copper Invar Copper, Edge Plated Multi layered boards and flexi rigid multilayers are other specialities. We have even devised a process to make Multilayer in a combination of Teflon, Ceramic and standard FR4 as a 6 Layer Composite Multilayer, with testing also done on 10-12 Layer Teflon Composite Multilayers. We have also developed the world’s most powerful process for Anodized Aluminium Bonding, with bond strength exceeding several times that of the plated copper on epoxy. This technology can make the difference between success and failure of the board during high temperatures. Such boards, termed AL-Back, are suitable for most applications – automotive, high intensity LED Displays, military/aerospace/medical, power supplies/power control, industrial (high MTBF) and mobile high shock applications. We are the only manufacturers for such boards in India. Fortran Cirkit has ISO 9000 as well as LCSO Certification. Existing clients include Bharat Electronics, Hindustan Aeronautics, DRDO, Keltron, VSSC, CDOT, L&T. For IIT Chennai, IIT Delhi and IIT Jodhpur we have done both Blind and Buried Via for Teflon Composite Antennas. This has helped almost a dozen PhD Research papers.
