Toren Orzeck, a co-founder and principal, studied industrial design at California State University in Long Beach. During his senior year at Long Beach, he obtained an internship at GE Plastics after working as a summer intern at Chuck Pelly's Designworks. Subsequently, he was recruited to join the Advanced Design and Development Group of GEP. He was hired by Nike to join their Advanced Product Engineering Group three years later. Tory departed Nike after four and a half years, three manufacturing shoes, and a few patents.
