H&H Enterprises became a corporation in the state of Colorado in 1980. The primary line of business at first was metal roofing and related sheet metal trim. Jim and Kathy were able to secure their first job at Jolly Rancher Candy with the assistance of other volunteer firefighters. They first operated out of their residential garage; after that, they leased a modest warehouse/shop, with Kathy & Jim's residence serving as the office. The company soon outgrown its setup and needed more room.
