In order to address the technical issues he saw in aircraft interiors while working for The Boeing Company, Mr. OJ Harper (Harp) established the Harper Engineering Company. Harp had a remarkable career with The Boeing Company after completing his education at the University of Washington. He retired in 1967. After retiring, Harp's next goal was to found the Harper Engineering Company, which is what it is today.
Harper Engineering, which started off small, is today regarded as one of the top manufacturers of mechanically developed components for airplane interiors. Stowage bin latches, ceiling latches, door locks, oxygen bottle brackets, and seat track fittings are some of the products we currently provide that are aircraft-certified. We have also branched out into polymer composites, where we manufacture approved goods produced from thermoplastics reinforced with continuous fibers.
