Kurt Huss, Jürgen Huss's grandpa, is where the family business's economic foundations were first laid. Since the 1920s, he had been making incense cones for the family's use. The incense cone plant, established in the 1960s, saw a halt during the Second World War, followed by its closure. Jürgen Huss made the decision to go independent after the political turnabout and restarted the production of incense cones. This established the financial basis for mechanical engineering at HUSS. Master mechanical engineer by training, he built up the business HUSS-Maschinenbau GmbH over time with the help of committed workers and his kids.
