Chris Braniecki and Kelly Vaught established IQ Manufacturing in June 2015 with the goal of assisting with the manufacturing of BallFrog, a tennis training tool they had created and been working on for the preceding year. They quickly came to understand that IQ was not the limit of its possibilities.

IQ was housed in a 600-square-foot room in a pole barn corner during the company's initial year of growth in Ray Township, Michigan. Four months after its founding, IQ was able to add a second CNC milling machine to its initial setup, in addition to a tiny manual surface grinder.
