When Lakeland Machinists first opened its doors in 1988, it was a modest general machine shop with few fabrication capabilities, four trained tradespeople, and a bookkeeper on staff. To meet the increasing demand, Lakeland increased its level of expertise and hired new millwrighting and electrical divisions.
