Merrill Tool & Water Jet, LLC

Brothers Craig and Lee Opsahl established MTW, a machine company in Merrill, Wisconsin, in July 1999 with a concentration on creating small metal components and die components. With an emphasis on innovation, the company in 2003 diversified from its tool and die concentration to offer additional services such water jet cutting, new machining capabilities, and the creation of a wide range of aluminum brackets.

After expanding ten times in just eight years, MTW moved to a 55,000 square foot building at 202 S. Thomas Street in Wisconsin's Merrill. With the extra room, the business was able to increase its capacity for new services including laser cutting, the creation of larger weldments, and the installation of new machining and turning machines. Wet paint, welding, forming, prototyping, and design support are some of the current capabilities.
