The Ormiston Rubber Co. Pty Ltd was founded in 1937 to produce tennis and squash balls as well as other consumer goods in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. The beginnings of Ormiston Rubber Co Pty Ltd can be found in 1876, when Barnet Glass moved to Carlton from Manchester, England and founded Barnet Glass Rubber. Popular brands like Ormiston Erasers and PC49 adhesive came next. Ormiston Rubber Co Pty Ltd's company grew as markets changed, utilizing its considerable knowledge and foundation of organic rubber compounds to supply industrial moulded and extruded rubber goods.

In order to create Mills Ormiston Rubber Pty Ltd - MOR Industries, two venerable Australian polymer companies, Mills Rubber (Est. 1947) and Ormiston Rubber Co Pty Ltd (Est. 1937), merged in October 2014.

The merger brought together the customs.
