Omega Leads wiring harness company was founded in 1961 by two friends who had worked extensively together in the coil manufacturing industry. Seeing a need for lead wires that are used to power up these coils, they set out to build a company to fill that need. Through hard work and perseverance, our founders took Omega Leads from its beginnings in a garage located in the San Fernando Valley through several, increasingly larger locations to our current Santa Monica facility. In 1974, the current owner’s family bought the company, and shifted its focus to wire harness assemblies and cable assembly manufacturing. In 1976, our current owner and president, Jeff Sweet Sr. started working in the production department. During that time, both Omega Leads founders and Sweet’s father passed on their knowledge of this industry which allowed him to purchase the business from his father in 1985. In the years since, we have transformed from our “mom and pop” roots to become a leading cable assembly and wiring harness company.
