Since 1988, Progressive Machining has provided bespoke machine shop services to Waterloo, Ontario, and the surrounding area.

When Progressive Machining first began operating in 1988, it was known as Hydra Track Canada. Small machine shop Hydra Track Canada was based in Wellesley, Ontario. The business rebranded itself as Progressive Machining Inc. on December 1, 2005. Progressive moved to a new location at 580 Colby Drive in Waterloo, Ontario, around this same period, and it began to expand.

Progressive Machining kept up operations out of 580 Colby Drive while growing its workforce, enhancing its machining capabilities, and acquiring new machinery.
