D. Covington Logan established PSC (Packaging Service Corporation) in 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Logan had a strong background in industrial packaging and believed that the firm could provide a valuable service to small businesses that could not afford to hire full-time packaging engineers.

It was immediately clear that much larger companies could benefit from this sort of service as well. PSC expanded its operations to include a warehouse and manufacturing site in 1962. This enabled PSC to provide its clients with quick and dependable service.
