Herbert Richarz and Heinz Wilwerscheid started R&W Maschinenbau GmbH in Wachtberg, Germany, in 1982. Since then, the firm has produced CNC components, precision parts, tools, and entire assemblies for clients across numerous industries.

The company R&W Maschinenbau GmbH relocated to a new location in the industrial district Remagen, between Koblenz and Bonn, in 1992 as a result of consistent growth and the accompanying lack of space.
