Recknagel Präzisionsstahl GmbH

As the name Recknagel suggests, our forefathers forged steel, created chisels, plane irons, and nails as far back as the 18th century. What began in Thuringia and the Bergisches Land would continue in the twentieth century with the establishment of Recknagel Präzisionsstahl GmbH.

Kurt Recknagel and Harry Möller formed Möller + Recknagel in Solingen in 1968, which was one of the first factories in Germany to produce precision flat steel, and Hückeswagen in 1973.

Hardened guide rails were quickly added to the production programme. Extensive investments helped Recknagel Präzisionsstahl GmbH become one of Germany's most important precision guide producers. Today, tool steels are machined and processed in two separate companies.
