Founded in 1946 by Elmer Schneider as Schneider Sheet Metal, the company began operations in the Tacoma Industrial District before relocating in 1954 to its current facility at 1551 South Tacoma Way. Elmer Schneider, a skilled sheet metal worker known for his energetic work style, established a strong foundation for growth. In 1951, he partnered with Robert Simpson and Lynden Allbaugh, and together they built a reputable, owner-operated business. Initially focused on blowpipe work for the wood industry, the company has continually adapted to market changes, evolving into a leader in custom-designed metal fabrication projects.
