We, Sanshin Seisakusho Group, are a metal processing manufacturer that produces large quantities of stampings and small quantities of a wide variety of sheet metal parts at two locations: Sanshin Seisakusho, based in Niigata Prefecture, and its subsidiary Sanshin High Technology Thailand, based in Ayutthaya Province, Thailand. Our company in Japan has been in business for over 75 years, and our Thai factory has been in operation for 25 years. This year marks the 20th anniversary of my taking over as president. In recent years, we have been steadily growing our business thanks to the growth of our employees, improvements in our technology and management skills, and timely capital investments. However, we have also faced major challenges in the past. In 2003, we lost business producing parts related to television cathode ray tubes, which were our main product at the time, and our factory in Saitama Prefecture was forced to close. We were swept away by the wave of technological change. In 2011, our Thai factory, which had been expanding steadily, was hit by an unprecedented flood and was submerged.
