Alex Lyhne and George Simon Wentworth established Simalex in 1964, which is now a family-run company. Strangely, the names of the two founders are how the company earned its name. Sim from Simon and Alex were combined to produce the name "Simalex."

Then, shortly after becoming a partner, Fred Lyhne, Sr. handed the reins to his son, Fred Lyhne, Jr., who is now in charge of our group of die casting design and engineering professionals.
