In 1920, John Jiretz Sr. created Tampa Sheet Metal Company. John was a master artisan who had studied in Germany and Austria. Custom sheet metal manufacturing technology has advanced from the early days of employing hand tools to a sophisticated facility with robotic arc welding, a laser operating at the speed of light, and a fully integrated computer system running Windows. The Jiretz family still owns and runs Tampa Sheet Metal Company, which is currently headed by John L. Jiretz, president and founder's grandson as well as great-grandson of John D. Jiretz.
