By the end of the 1980s, Ed Stephens, the company's present owner, established Tornik LLC. Stephens wanted to offer its then partner business, a major distributor of cable, wire, and electronic components in Northeast New England, added value wire processing services. Tornik quickly grew to become a full-service, stand-alone supplier of cable and harness contract assembly services, motivated by the demands of its sizable customer base. But this was just the start.
