founded in 2002 by Dean Young, a veteran designer for Nortel Networks. Dean has six years of experience working at Nortel Networks, where he primarily managed teams of hardware designers for the company's 10Gbps and 40Gbps optical amplifier programs. He worked on a number of board-level components for Nortel's OC-192 SONET system before beginning work on the optical amplifier products. These products featured an OC-48 linecard, the first gigabit ethernet to OC-192 mapper card, and OC-192 controller cards.
