MFG TRANSCO Australia, a mining, oilfield, and industry services tooling company with a focus on the design, production, and inspection of raise drill string and down hole drilling tools, was founded in Adelaide, South Australia in 1990.

Transcontinental Supplies was registered with TRANSCO in 1991.

Hole openers, barrel reamers, fly cutters, ring stabilizers, roller reamers, and other drilling tools for the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) market were among the drilling instruments that TRANSCO first produced in 1998.
