Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, founded in 1952, was previously part of the Smiths Group's precision seals company. Polymer Sealing Solutions was made up of four rubber components. Busak+Shamban, Dowty Automotive, Shamban, and Forsheda were among them. Trelleborg AB purchased Polymer Sealing Solutions in 2003. All marketing sites retained the name Busak+Shamban, but manufacturing locations became Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. The Busak+Shamban name was retired on April 2, 2007, and all sites were merged under the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions umbrella.
