Turnamics Inc. has specialised in short to medium production runs of complex parts ever since it first opened its doors in 1969. Turnamics began as a tiny screw-machine shop making components for the electronics sector, but it has since expanded in capacity and breadth, creating complicated components for a variety of industries, including communications and transportation, by utilising cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
Harvey Spiegel, the owner, is in charge of running the business. Harvey graduated from Auburn University's Industrial Engineering programme in 1966. The company now has two facilities on the same campus and handles all facets of manufacturing, from simple sheet metal components to full assemblies of turned and milled parts.
Turnamics is equipped with more than 80 machining centres, including Swiss turning and 5-axis milling.
