On one of those ground levels where the industry was developed in the Bajo Deba valley in the middle of the previous century, Urrestarazu started operating in the spliced screws sector in 1957.

The company manager, Mr. D. Fernando Urrestarazu, along with other local businessmen, promoted the construction of said Industrial Estate throughout the 1970s while serving as the president of the association of businessmen for the promotion of the Soraluze Industrial Estate, to which many businesses from the urban centre and other nearby towns would later relocate.

The business URRESTARAZU relocated to its facilities in the Mendiola industrial estate in 1988. Currently, it has two buildings, one for forging and the other for bar turning and machining, totaling a total of 20,000 square feet.
