My name is Mark Wilder, and I started working in a factory in 1991 as a Kelly temporary worker before becoming a permanent one. In a mould shop, I began my production career by redesigning pieces and grinding extra material. I eventually got hired and managed an injection moulding machine that produced a variety of metal injection moulding parts. After that, I was promoted to supervise a team of 15 workers for the second shift. The Machine Shop created a handling device I devised for me after which I pitched the template at an angle and connected a vibrating device. We reduced the time it took to stage 1 tray from 45 minutes to 18 seconds for 1000 pieces! After that, I cut ties with the business.
