When Xact Metal was founded in 2017, its team realized the immense potential of metal 3D printing and set out to lower the cost so that everybody could use it.

With the XM200C, the company's first powder-bed fusion printer, which worked on an XY gantry system intended for R&D, Universities, and those switching from plastic printing to metal printing, printer shipments started in 2019. 

The XM200G family of single-and dual laser printers from Xact Metal was unveiled in November 2021. These printers use galvanometer mirrors to achieve quicker printing speeds for industrial applications requiring high throughput.
