Yamamoto Manufacturing Ltd. Ltd. started off in the watchcase-metallurgy industry in 1945 and effectively expanded throughout China, Korea, and Japan.
Yamamoto used their experience in plating and metallurgy to launch their first printed circuit board plant in Tokorozawa, Japan, in 1968. The company's early efforts in this field were supported by research and development projects with several top Japanese OEMs as well as a sizable contract with IBM Yasu Japan. In Honjo, Japan, a second Advanced Technology facility was established in 1985 and expanded again in 2001. In 2008, Yamamoto constructed a new PCB facility in the Chinese province of Guangdong.
