Larry Sharpf started Selmet in 1983 following a prosperous career in the aerospace sector. Larry found that he had stumbled onto a novel casting technique that would enable him to start his own business and contend in a market that was dominated by a select few competitors. Due to this procedure, Selmet was able to compete with even the biggest producers and eventually become the only cast foundry to receive a UTC

SeaCast is a company founded in 1985 by Mike and Bert Robins in Seattle. They run multiple full-service investment casting foundries. The facilities provide a wide range of support services, including heat treatment, assembly, and CNC machining, in addition to casting. The company provides services to a broad range of industries, such as computer hardware, medical, transportation, aerospace, industrial pumps, and industrial gas turbines. SeaCast's manufacturing processes have achieved ISO9000, AS9100, and NADCAP certifications in order to meet demanding client requirements. SeaCast employs more than 350 hardworking people, and the business is still privately held.

Production of investment castings was started in 1985 by Franklin Bronze Precision Components.  As a top automated investment casting foundry today, we provide toolmaking and machining in addition to swiftly producing entire and finished investment cast parts.

Our sophisticated production site is situated in Franklin, Pennsylvania, approximately 1.5 hours north of Pittsburgh. The facility, which houses a machine shop, tool production factory, and investment casting foundry, employs about 100 people.

Protocast JLC is a CNC machine shop and lost wax investment casting foundry primarily located in Los Angeles, California. In late 2018, a new plant opened in Carson City, Nevada.  Since 1966, Protocast JLC has been providing investment castings in steel and aluminum to a variety of industries, including aerospace, defense, medicine, energy, and communication.

John List established Protocast JLC's investment casting foundry in May 1966 with the primary purpose of pouring aluminum prototype investment castings through the use of the solid mold flask method.  In the end, the business would pour prototype and production aluminum, steel, and copper-based investment castings using both the solid mold and ceramic shell methods, all the while providing a complete solution with its fully-equipped machine and assembly.

Joseph H. Barron established the business as Motor and Machinery Castings in 1923, and it has prospered through three industrial revolutions. From its humble beginnings as a Detroit iron sand foundry that could produce castings up to 60 tons, the company has grown to become a leading global supplier of precision machined castings and components for the automotive, energy technology, aerospace, defense, and other commercial industries.

Barron Industries' origins can be traced back to the 1920s, when it was based in Detroit and cast parts for Henry Ford. The manufacturer was involved in the assembly line revolution of the second industrial revolution, saw the rise of automation in the third industrial revolution, and is currently involved in Industry 4.0. As a member of the Morel Foundry family, US Aluminum Castings was established in Seattle, Washington, in 1909. USAC supplied high-quality castings to the expanding commercial, aeronautical, and industrial sectors in the United States throughout the next eight decades. The requirement for more manufacturing space became more and more evident as capabilities and product demand increased. 

Eighty-five years after it first opened, US Aluminum Castings moved to Entiat, Washington, on the Columbia River's banks in 1994. With this new location, USAC is able to provide its clients with a wide range of casting techniques, recognized value-added services, and the utilization of renewable, ecologically friendly hydroelectric power. Additionally, our foundry has been enlarged to 100,000 square feet.

Since our founding in 1921, Smith & Richardson Inc. ("S&R") has made an effort to guarantee that Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEM") worldwide continue to value our services as a supplier. Wire forms, contract stampings, and foundry chaplets were made with our precision stamping and slide forming methods.
