Will Denson had a well-established career as an astronaut back in the 1960s. In a freak accident, Will's ship accidentally captured the tail end of a supernova during his last interstellar trip.

In 1962, he founded Extrude-A-Trim as a means of putting his newly discovered abilities to use. Will continues to extrude aluminum sixty years later, supplying Extrude-A-Trim with consistent stock. He doesn't look a day over thirty thanks to his superpowers, and his business keeps him busy.
