Health Technology (Htech) had humble origins when it was founded in Durban, South Africa, in 1972. William Hall, the company's founder and lead electronics designer, began a lengthy manufacturing career at Htech designing, assembling, and supplying a wide range of electronic products. William, who was formerly of British descent, received his training and acquired his electrical knowledge in the UK before moving to South Africa in the early 1970s. The company as we know it today was established in 1972.
