Inland Plastics is a privately held, family-run business with over 50 years of history. The company began by providing the original Hay Covers and Truck Tarps to agricultural communities across North America. Founded in Olds, Alberta, Canada—a small agricultural town nestled in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies—Inland Plastics started in the back of a local barber shop, with limited space for a small team of seamstresses. Rapid growth soon required a larger facility. In 1971, the company acquired a four-classroom schoolhouse in Drumheller, Alberta, which became the present Head Office. The expanded space allowed Inland Plastics to continue growing and introducing innovative products, including wooden and steel-framed structures, temporary grain storage covers, and insulated tarpaulin solutions. As the business expanded, Inland Plastics’ reputation for high-quality materials attracted other manufacturers, who began purchasing textile rolls and finished products from the company. Over time, Inland Plastics shifted its focus from manufacturing to textile distribution, continuing its commitment to quality and service in the industry.
