Laytec, a privately held Canadian business, was founded in 1986 as an art and electronic design firm. In the mid-1990s, in response to increasing customer demand for working prototypes, we relocated to a 5000 sq.ft. industrial facility and expanded our services to include contract manufacturing. We had outgrown our facility by 2001, so we constructed our own custom-designed 22,000 square-foot high-tech manufacturing plant. Since then, we've steadily invested in automation and worked to streamline every part of our manufacturing process.

We run four high-speed surface mount lines with a daily capability of well over a million placements. For working with through-hole components, we also have several robotic selective soldering devices and two high speed wave soldering machines.
